Today I was surprised (and what a fucking lovely surprise!) by my dear friend Catherine with this wonderful “thank you” picture posted on
her Flickr photostream. Catherine is a very talented canadian designer and her photographic work never cease to amaze me. I’m very proud to say that I’m a huge fan of her work so when I found out that she actually took the time to create something as a way to thank me for the CD I was literally bouncing off the walls… really flattering! She told me that these shots were taken as she was listening to the CD for the very first time which makes it even more special. Catherine: I’ll love you forever for this.
A little while ago a really nice guy named Gustavo also sent me a very touching email saying that my CD was just the perfect push he needed to make the decision of become a photographer and let me tell ya, he’s been doing great and I’m sure you’ll be hearing a lot from him… Here’s his note (sorry, I’m way too tired to translate the whole thing… but you got the idea by what I had just written):
Um pouco a ntes comprei com vc o Liquid Peace of Me. E uns dias antes de fazer minha matricula, escutando o CD, uma frase da musica Time to Heal grudou na minha mente e assim ela se mantem até hoje ”Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.”
Dani is another friend who’s very special and will always be in my heart. She keeps teaching me about how to become a good photographer and a better person every single day and I could never thank her enough for that. Here’s what she did for me:
Gestures like these are just the best adrenaline rush (Jellyfish refers to it as “my sugar trampoline”) I could ever wish for and they make all my hard work totally worth. Thanks guys… you make a difference.
